Pussy Bow Galore 2011-12-14
If you are looking for a vintage inspired fashion fix then look no further than the pussy bow, it has been a staple feature from the 1930's all the way up until the present day. Reinventing itself to suit the fashion of the time.
The 1930/40s pussy bow was very flamboyant and full of frills as shown above with the glamorous Joan Crawford and Marlene Dietrich. The 1950's styled it in a cutesy fashion as worn by Bridget Bardot. The 1960's saw life to the androgynous trend and the American girl-band 'The shangri-las' wore their pussy bows with a masculine twist. Lastly shown above is the lovely late Princess Diana in the 1980s taking a prim and proper approach.
JARLO has an absolutely amazing range of pussy bow dresses and tops. My personal favourites have the be the polka dot 60's inspired Hayley dress and the Stella dress which I actually own and will be posting outfit photo's in due course. In fact looking at them all now they are all my favourites and would suit any occasion perfectly.
