Vintage Inspired Winter Tea Dress 2012-02-17

Hello gorgeous JARLO Fans. I wanted to show you my 'go to' dress of the winter.

Say hello to the lovely Lou.

Lou is a 1950's inspired tea dress that is suitable for the winter due to its thick material and lining. 40s & 50s inspired floral prints never go out of style and is one of my all time favourite looks.

I do love to try out new styles and look at current trends, but the femininity and glamour of times before will always be a consistent look for me.

I always try and mix up vintage inspired garments with trendy accessories (to reduce the risk of looking fancy dress). Here for example I have teamed Lou up with some chunky ankle boots to give the outfit a bit of an edge.

Also I have found a great technique in creating vintage waves and thought I would share with you. John Frida have created a series of tutorials. Obviously they are telling you to use their products, but I just used my normal hold moose and some heat protection spray.
